Shivaya is a heritage property near Chauli ki Jaali. We were asked for two more rooms with Himalayan views.
A disused plinth was already on site, so we built on the same footprint rather than laying a new one. The structure is a metal frame. The surfaces are pataal, wood and mud plastered walls. A clerestory window and a skylight bring light in from above.
The rooms are finished in Kumaoni blue, the bathrooms in blue and white.
